A very welcoming space with thousands of book collections, periodicals, research databases and more. Stay tuned for photos of the newly revamped library! Grade 11 IBDP English and Grade 12 AP English Literature students participated in a ‘book tasting’ in the library today. They all perused an array of college level novels and drama scripts and explored a range of book reviews before selecting one text for independent reading, study and assessment this semester.

BREAKING NEWS: Historic Multi-Year Collaboration with MIT/J-WEL

It’s Official! The American School of Marrakesh enters, effective September 1, 2021, an historic multi-year collaboration with MIT/J-WEL to develop the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) at ASM and to strengthen the School’s position as an innovative leader in Africa.

The collaboration will focus on three main areas:

  • Develop a highly competitive PK-12 STEAM curricular program with engaging activities designed to solve real-world problems;
  • Provide professional development opportunities with top experts in STEAM fields; and
  • Create a Maker Space/FabLab on ASM’s campus.

Congratulations! ASM is now an IB World School

We are pleased to announce that ASM is now an IB World School offering the IB Diploma Programme!

The IB Diploma Programme is a two-year rigorous course of studies for students aged 16-19 to prepare for university work. The programme aims to develop students who are creative, lifelong learners, and critical thinkers. The programme is made up of six subject groups and the DP Core which includes Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Activity & Service (CAS), and the Extended Essay (EE). DP students benefit from an advanced and rigorous preparation through research, reflection, and project-based learning. The DP can lead students to some of the highest-ranking universities in the world.
