IB Diploma Programme

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (Bac de Geneve) is coming to Marrakech!
The American School of Marrakesh is a candidate school for the Diploma Programme. ASM is pursuing authorization as an IB World School to start the program in September 2021. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.

Why Offer an IB Program at ASM ?

The IB Core (Creativity, Action and Service; Theory of Knowledge; and the Extended Essay) prepares students to become critical thinkers, problem-solvers, global citizens, caring leaders, and lifelong learners.

Benefits of the IB Diploma Programme:

    • The IB encourages personal & academic achievement, challenging students to excel in their studies and in their personal development.
    • IB programs encourage students to become internationally-minded, within a complex and hyper-connected world.
    • IB programs encourage students to consider both local and global contexts.
    • The IB increases the chances of a student to enter a top university program and gives an excellent preparation for life beyond university.
