Towers are built in all shapes and sizes as well as for many different purposes. In this challenge, students will explore how tower design impacts stability and strength.
KG0-KG3: Students will explore examples of towers, how to build towers, materials that can be used in tower building, and then will be challenged to see how tall of a tower they can build.
G1-12: Students will compete within grade levels to see who can build the tallest paper tower. View the introductory video below. Modifications may be allowed at the teacher’s discretion for elementary students.
Winners from each grade level will be announced on Friday, April 9th. The winning projects will be displayed in the main reception and photos will be posted on ASM’s social media pages.

Writing: We are accepting submissions of poems and articles related to the theme “Towering Above” or STEAM-related careers and interests for inclusion in our weekly student newsletters. Art/Technology: If you love to draw, paint, sculpt, build, photograph, or film, we are happy to accept submissions that relate to the theme “Towering Above” to add to our talent display in the main reception. All submissions will be returned to you.
Please be sure to include your name and grade on all submissions. Digital submissions can be emailed to [email protected]. Hard copy submissions can be given to your division principal.

The American School of Marrakesh is hosting its third Virtual Open House Day. We have an exciting program for prospective parents and students interested in learning more about the American School of Marrakesh. You will tour our campus virtually, meet our teachers and learn more about our programs. Even better, Open House attendees will be exempt from the Application Fee (1000 DH).
